I know the situation you are in -- college student with a first-time credit card = low limit. I would dispute the charge first; point out to the bank (if it is true) that you have never been late on a payment, you always pay the minimum, and other things that you think will help your case. Also, I would make a payment right now to get under your limit. If you are, say, $10.11 cents over the limit pay that amount; that way you will not be over the limit for too long. Call or write UA and see what they say.

On a personal note, I applaud you coming forward and saying the truth. It might be hard to say that you are over your limit because it might be embarrasing.
