Though almost all the clubs have the advantages listed above, some clubs ARE quite nice for watching things -- ever been to the PC at LGW? Beautiful views of the runway, in addition to all the other amenities.

The PC at SFO, however, was claustrophobic, no view, small, not even any food except biscuits (there was a bar); however, I still would have preferred it if the airport had been crowded with loud children etc.
