WP is nice for snagging the exit rows (I agree with shillard about the seating remark). It is even nicer for the "no wait time" when ringing on the 13xxxx number (but then again, SG gets that). I have yet to experience requesting release of award seats when nothing is showing.

As for op-ups, I fondly remember CX and BA but not QF. It is clear that QF just don't want to do it. I can live with that but it makes the others a viable alternate instead of a last resort. It is a good way of forcing what would normally be QF SLF to try someone else. I would never have dreamed of putting a foot inside a UA plane until they comped me PremEx - and now I'm doing a MR just to keep it. I'm firmly entrenched in UA and will use the *Gold card to my advantage. Thanks QF for instilling that level of doubt that pushed me over the edge.

Yes, I'll try to keep my (QF) WP card but I certainly won't be piling on the flights that I used to do. Oh, and as for the 5000 point loyalty bonus, what a joke from what it used to be - it's more like a backhander across the face.
