I agree. What I'm unsure about is why people sit on that many miles. I know it's unlikely, but Continental COULD discontinue OnePass, or drastically raise miles needed for reward travel, or go bankrupt, or whatever, making those miles worth less or worthless. (What a great play on words!)

I guess I am asking everyone, How many miles do you feel is a comfortable amount to have on account?

Personally, I don't let my account go much over 100,000 before I book a reward trip. I am "spending" 35,000 miles and $10 to go to Hawaii this winter. Still leaves me with plenty of miles to use if something comes up.
