Do inactive OnePass accounts really forfiet miles?

The CO website says here that accounts with no deposits for 18 months will go inactive and all miles in the account will be lost.

It has been about 18 months since my last CO flight, so I called CO reservations to ask when exactly that would happen to my account. I was told that it didn't really happen, that the account may go inactive but the miles wouldn't be lost. Just to be sure, I called right back and spoke to another agent who said the same.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I have about 225,000 miles and I don't want to lose them but I haven't been flying CO lately. If I'm not in danger of loosing the miles soon I don't have to try to come up with a hasty MR right away.

Thanks
