Turnabout is fair play. A few months back I booked a vacation package for two to Europe. That evening I discovered that I couldn't go. Within 24 hours from the original booking I called Expedia customer service and advised my situation. They said that once my credit card was charged that they could not "undo" the reservation without penalty. I took about a $250 ding to get out of it. As mentioned, now that the "shoe is on the other foot" it is kind of fun...
