Recently I flew on Air Asia from Macau to KUL for less than one dollar and we have all gotten accustomed to some incredible air travel bargains. Hotel bargains are just as plentiful!

Three months ago I received an offer from the Wynn casino in Las Vegas to spend three nights in a $300 room and they would give me one hundred dollars to visit. I have never gambled in my life and wondered how they got my name, I asked if I had to see a timeshare and they assured me the offer was completely legitimate with no strings attached. My wife and I went had a great time and actually made one hundred dollars. Several years ago I was offered a $500 a night condo package in Hawaii for four nights if I would visit a timeshare and pay $25 for the entire stay. (offer was from Hilton by the way) In the mail today I received a Marriott package valued at over $1,000 dollars to visit what I assume is some promotion in Monterey, California and my total cost is $75.00

Maybe I was naive when I booked my hotel stays in Osaka and Tokyo, but I was not that naive when I called Expedia and asked what the catch was. They told me there was no catch and the reservations would be honored. I really thought some promotion was attached to the package but I was willing to live with it as I have with other promotions in the past. I honestly did not think these rates were a mistake, I just thought something would be expected of me when I got there.

I paid my money, I relied on the customer service agents to tell me the truth, and I have now invested in airline tickets. I have a lot to loose if Expedia changes its mind, I have not had official confirmation they will not honor the reservation however.

Expedia if they have any integrity at all should be working feverishly to notify those involved that they will not be honoring reservations.

What I really think Expedia is doing by not sending out emails and honoring November reservations is buying time, because they really are not sure what to do.
