I've only flown Continental Express twice in my life, as most of the places I go still have mainline jet service (fortunately).
However, I'm going to be flying them on Friday, and I have a few questions:- Do they have overhead bins? If so, would there be room in them for a fairly large briefcase?
- I remember that they did an elite pre-board the last time I flew them. Do they always/usually/sometimes do this? (I'm Silver, if it matters.)
- If there is an elite pre-board, can my traveling companion (non-status) board with me.
Thanks very much for any information. I tried a search, but wasn't having any luck.</font>
1. Yes, the ERJ has overhead bins but only on one side of the cabin. The seating on the ERJ is 1 and 2 and the overheads are over the two seat section. They can be a little cramped in my experience...and if your briefcase is big then they might make you gate check it anyway.
2. In my experiences on COEX they have allowed all elites to pre board so that hasn't been a problem. My fiancé is non-elite and we have never been hassled by CO when she has boarded with me. I usually put my boarding pass on top of hers and give both to the GA...it's never been an issue with CO...only on NW at BWI for some reason!
Hope your trip goes well...
