Moderate pricing for sunsets

I've always liked the Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian. I'm partial to their NY Steak. You're right on the beach with live music. Can't be beat if you're walking around Waikiki.

Want to drive a tiny bit? Then I recommend Las Marianas on Sand Island Road. There's no beach, but it's located at a small marina fronting the water and has a very reasonable menu with a wide variety of good food. And the atmosphere is something you'll talk about for years to come. Think old kitch Hawaiian.

And if you're up for another short drive, then how about Nicco's at Pier 38. No dinner, but terriffic breakfast and lunch. This is the place located right next to the fish market, and the owner walks accross the parking lot and picks up all sorts of great fish right off the boats each morning. Very casual, limited view, but you'll feel right at home if you like dining with locals. My favorite is the ahi and egg breakfast. Grilled ahi steak with eggs the way you request.

I hope this helps.
