Considering they recently started JFK-PPT non-stop may be they could bypass LAX and come to YVR instead. The traffic between CDG and LAX and then PTT seems higher to me that the one thru YVR but if a majority of PAX originate in CDG instead and continue to PPT maybe it could make sense.

They have very good offers and recent aircraft (A340-300) they currently offer LAX-PPT at $495.00 USD RT
