Flyertalkers in the Bible: a Starwood game!

In the Delta Skymiles forum, we have a thread that encourages those who wish to play along to sign their copy of the in-flight magazine on each flight, using their flyertalk handle, and to look for the signatures of other FTers in the same place. I understand there's a similar game underway in the United forum. A "score" in the "game" occurs when one FTer finds another's signature and either posts the find in the appropriate thread and/or contacts the FTer whose signature was found.

Problem is, such scoring occurs far less frequently than even in the sport of soccer/football/futbol/etc (i.e., almost never). This lack of scoring results primarily from the fact that the in-flight magazines are changed out each month. A suggested remedy is to sign the air sickness bag, but at least on Delta, these bags are made of a plastic that cannot be defaced by most writing implements.

It occurs to me that we could, if anyone wishes, instigate a similar game among flyertalkers staying at Starwood hotels. My proposal would be that anyone wishing to participate would:

1. Write your FT handle, the FT web address, and any other information you wish (e.g., date, purpose of stay, personal greeting, restaurant recommendation, etc.) on a small piece of paper (the notepad from the desk would be ideal).

2. Place it in the Gideon Bible at page 620. If there's a consensus for a better place, like inside the front cover, I'll revise the location specified here, but I chose page 620 because it's less likely to be found by non FTers, and "F" is the 6th letter and "T" is the 20th letter in the alphabet.

3. Please don't write directly on the pages of the Bible.

4. If/when you find a note from a FTer or FTers who previously occupied the room, post your find in this thread and contact the person(s) to let them know of your find.

5. Additional rules/prizes/etc. to be determined by consensus.

The great thing about doing this in hotels is that the big problem with the inflight magazines is eliminated, since the Gideon Bibles are rarely replaced.

Of course, this game could be played at other hotel properties as well (be my guest to set up something similar on another hotel's FT forum). But if you think about it, we Starwood fans may well have the best chance for hits, since in any given time period, the number of FTer stays per hotel chain room, while vanishingly small, would, I'd think, still be significantly higher than for other chains like Marriott and Hilton, etc.

So what do you think? Is it worth a try?
