This is from the Marriott T & C's -

"Hotel charges without a personal overnight stay will not earn room night credit toward Elite membership."

I would define this as exactly targeting the one night no show charge. There was a hotel charge, and there was not a personal overnight stay. So it should not earn a stay credit.

However, I can't find anything that specifically mentions getting points for a no show charge.
