I doubt very mch that anyone with nefarious plans could gain much from 45 minutes in a simulator. AC did some basic checks when we went through and asked for AE numbers which I believe might have been passed through AC security.
Would appear to be the easiest way for a civilian to be able to take control of a commercial airliner and be able to at least understand the basics.
