Don't see an issue. Front desk clerks are not likely to ask anything, and even if they do ask for ID because of the rate you can show it. They don't care who's name is on the folio. My name is different from my husband's and we check in all the time under my name/he pays or he checks in/I pay.... As long as one of us can show ID showing one of us is entitled to whatever rate we booked under, no big deal. Be very surprised if anyone caused a fuss.
