I have not stayed there since they finished the remodeling, but things were pretty bad while it was going on. It is out from town a bit, so you will either be driving to dinner, or calling one of the 10 cabs in Midland/Odessa. If you are a die hard IC points collector, then it is really your only choice. There are other nicer hotels in town, the Hilton being one of them. Across the street from the Hilton is a pretty decent bar/restaraunt - called the Wall Street Bar and Grill. If you want any ideas for other hotels and for restaraunts, drop me a PM.
