Yes, that route is serviced by NTC/NEV B747s and, as you say, rows 1-3 AB or KL are the best seats ... Also, I have experienced equipment changes on this route before when they substitute with an OTC 747, so you are better off with a seat in rows 1-3 on an OTC 747 as well because it's the old First configuration with the lie-flat seats.
