Definitely will have the most 'japanese' things to do at the Kyoto Westin, and you can take a train to Kyoto station and then a subway to the hotel, or a taxi of course. Otherwise stay in Osaka and it's a 20 minute train (and you can walk to train station from the hotel) to Kyoto if you want to go check out the temples and such.
