Part, though not all, of the problem is that KE is reconfiguring (upgrading F)some of their long hauls, and though some of the planes still have F seats, they are not selling them (or releasing awards). Many people on the DL forum have expressed frustration that even though they are flying on an F award, KE puts them in the J section, reserving the old F seats for their own elites. The service is the same--all J--just the seats are different. Regardless, as of Jan. 1, DL will not have an F award on KE anymore, even for the planes that will have a "real" FC cabin. At least for now, in theory, DL still offers F awards on SQ and MH.
