Sorry if I wasn't very clear in my original post. By "lounge access anytime", I meant using the lounge when not flying on BA. (At LHR T1, the lounge agent explained to me that this privilege does not allow a Gold to bring a guest, and permits access only to the business class side.) The agents at the BKK lounge insisted (politely but firmly) that I had to be on a OneWorld flight.
