Had anyone had luck getting a gate pass at LAX. My wife is flying in with my 6-month old son, and i'd like to meet them at the gate to give her a hand.

What is best way to get one - call Res, just talk to a ticket agent at the check-in couter, etc ...

PS - I am 1P if that helps things
