Tips for later trips....

KLM have very good connections to Norway; with direct flights from AMS to TRD, BGO and OSL as well as other cities less interesting from a gay or a tourist perspective. Whereas the gay scene is not huge in any of those cities (Oslo has only about 500.000 inhabitants, Bergen about 250.00, Trondheim 150.000) all have lots to see to fill a weekend. Oslo is the capital with world class museums, Trondheim is the old capital with the northernmost gothic cathedral of Europe and plenty of small town charm. If forced to pick one, I would go for Bergen: a great city, with easy access to the fjords: a special daypass including the Bergen-Flåm railroad with return travel by boat along the longest fjord, Sognefjorden, to Bergen, is available.
