Sorry parnel, but that's not going to work for those anti-AC flyers that won't fly AC for whatever perceived, real or unreal, reasons and so won't experience the difference in service and any new planes or revamped interiors. I encounter those folks daily and despite my best efforts, some flat out refuse to even consider AC so deeply runs their dislike.
That's a fact of life but the other fact of life is that AC is selling lots of seats in the west and WS gets the scraps. Any serious regular business flyer who jaunts all over the place will inevitably fly AC and that's their market
BTW not everyone buys or likes Gillette razors but eventually they win out because of their size and market presence.

It is that anti-AC percentage of the population WS counts as what must be a significant portion of it's total market and will be among the hardest for AC to win back, no matter how improved the product/service has become.
There will always be competition and WS is pretty good domestic competition but needs to watch their back if Canjet gets any bigger ambitions and if one of the US LCC guys moves into Canada. AC wants the international and feeder business along with transcon and rapidair and no one has been abe to get close to them in those markets. I don't think point to point is in their business plan.
