I went last month. Was 8000 CLPs. Price can fluctuate up to 2000 CLPs higher during certain times of the year. If you are not going during the beginning of a Chilean holiday or other peak time (ex. beginning/end of summer break), you will have no problem buying your ticket day of or day before your trip. The best recommendation is to go to Terminal Santiago and compare prices at all the international desks (around 8 bus companies that make this trip). For a little more CLPs, you can also make this trip with companies offering a shared van or cab service (ideal if you have a small group).

but they do not have info on their trips into Argentina. Turbus is usually more expensive than the competition. I have used Turbus, El Rapido, Tas Choapa, TACA, and another I can't remember. All have about the same service on this particular trip.
