This might not be much of a policy change. from what I have read, Korean has never let any US ST people actually sit in F on award tickets. They give some lame excuse that Business is really First on their planes. Anyway, I have read several places (i think the delta board) about ST folks redeeming the extra miles to sit in F on KE and then getting burned and being forced to sit in Business. I have refused to book KE for this among other reasons. Maybe this is a good clarification on their policy. They seem to be tight @sses on a whole range of things, from wanting more miles for intra asia Biz awards to being lame about F awards.
