When I had Samsung, I was able to unlock it by obtaining the unlock code from T-Mobile, from whom, I had bought the phone. They sent the code and the instructions, which were fairly simple.

Now I have Motorola V188. According to the instructions for unlocking it, one has to insert a non T-Mobile SIM card in the phone, and then enter the unlock code. Is that correct? If it is, I need to find a non-T_mobile SIM card, which I might not be able to, before going overseasd. I wanted to make sure it is unlocked before I go overseas.
