No. The easy way to do it is to hold the itinerary you want, then call AA.com web services (not AA reservations) and ask them to reprice the itinerary in the fare code you want. They can put it back on hold and you can buy it online to get the booking bonus.

(This may also avoid the telephone booking fee, but I haven't tried it lately, so I'm not 100 percent sure.)
