I used some AC branded luggage (a 22" roll on) for several year, to carry my tools. It was by far the most robust piece of luggage I ever had. It took a phenomenal amount of abuse, but with occaisional inexpensive trips to the repair shop on Homer St. (invariably due to self inflicted wounds) it held up for many years.

I would still be using it, except that I accidentally melted the zipper with a soldering iron. The cost to repair the zipper was more than the price of a new piece of luggage.

Had I known them what I know now (that rugged soft luggage is really rare) I would have paid to fix the zipper.

(It was purchased sometime around 1997-98, at Sears.)
I purchased my Air Canada roll-on at Sears as well...sometime in the late 90's, maybe early 2000's and it was, and still is the most durable piece of luggage I have. The wheels and zipper are still in great shape even after long walks and many miles flown. I would buy another one again as I think I got more than my monies worth out of this one.
