On the European flights airline food is what is it, I think the biggest advantage for AY on European flights is the fleet. The Airbus fleet is relatively new and the other old planes are now making way for the Embraiers. It does make a big difference when you can fly in a new plane, just fly in the US for comparison.

The longhaul MD-11 fleet is excellent business for AY but it doesn't really compare well with the competion and their 747/777/340 fleets. AY does keep pretty good care of it's planes, though.
