Personal GPS on AA
So I was a bit bored today, and started reading Wikipedia about the history of the GPS system. There was a section in the article that said:
"Most airlines allow private use of ordinary GPS units on their flights, except during landing and take-off, like all other electronic devices."
The article went on to give the example of Song and B6 having it on, even during takeoff/landing.
AA says we can use "devices with wireless features, as long as the wireless feature can be disabled".
What does everyone think about this? Anyone actually use one for fun while in flight?
I think that GPS units wouldn't cause much of a stir, heck, the plane's got at least two of them. I think the issue would be around shielding on the device.
