I think that is exactly what CO's goal was re the lower EQM for NW flights.
In 2003 I flew NW for 42 segments and 22,602 base miles (out of 75 segments and 48,072 CO/NW/AS base miles).
I spent a total of just $1,978 at NW (including 2 8-segment runs for less than $115 each).
Is my CO Gold card just painted tin? Yep.
