Probably next year (pre-Medicare age) for me, for various reasons. And I'm wondering....as more of us are getting closer to that mark (in the same way that, at the end of any calendar year, the1K lines at some airport checkin counters get longer and longer) what will UA do to raise the goal-post, or diminish the perks if there are any associated with million milers.

Am I the only one who hangs out in the galley on long-hauls, scanning the manifest to find out who is in what seat, what they ordered for dinner, and how many of'em are million-milers?

While having a bone-density scan the other day, the presiding surgeon reassured us that "this low-dose xray will deliver less radiation than flying from LAX to JFK". This was not comforting.
