While going through grad school I worked for TWA as a flight attendant. Based in New York, but lived in LA. I had a coast-to-coast commute to work during the summers when they needed me. Took leave of absence during their down season, to get school work done. Pass benefits year round. Did variations of that for nine years till Icahn took over.

I'm pretty sure from my logs that I flew a million miles by the time I was 31. Then I started flying revenue on CO and UA.

I was 49 when I crossed a million as UA counts for Million Mile Flyer status.
