I know that I for one was very bummed this summer to discover that all of the W's in NYC, except the W NY had been bumped up to cat 5. It used to be just the W Union Sq, which was, BTW, a fair assumption, as that property rocks. Seems unfair to put Times Sq. and the 2 Murray Hill properties in the same class. FWIW, unlike many, I had a fabulous experience at the only remaining Cat4 W. Got a corner sweet (as a gold, and on a reward reservation!) as well as had a fabulous dinner comped for our anniversary, by the Dir. or Reservations (I think), Dupe, who was amazingly accomodating.
