Although I'm, usually a do-it-myself kind of guy, I would recommend a local expert for this kind of trip. We used an excellent tour planner for our trip to SA and Singita (which was fabulous) - Michelle at http://www.transafricasafaris.com . They handled our SA bookings, pickup, dropoff, luggage storage (there is limited baggage space on some of the small planes from Jburg to Kruger), mini-tour around Jburg, etc etc.

Their service was terrific (and Singita's service was unbelievable) !!

We also used a Virtuoso agent (Joyce in Ft. Worth) to set the whole thing up. (PM me for her contact, as I dont have it with me right now)
