If I was in that situation, I certainly would. 5k tier points = large revenue for BA and they certainly should provide more recognition than a 1500/2k earner.

Why not spend your money (or your employer's) elsewhere and enjoy multiple top tier memberships. Afterall - it's not always 100% of the time one can fly BA
