I agree with Oldtimer that CDG 2E is like running some sort of travel triathalon (walking, busses, stairs). But it's not NW or even AF, it's the crazy Aéroports de Paris and their wacky implementation of CDG.
That said, the "temporary" terminal at 2E and even the "temorary" AF lounge inside the warehouse looking building are nicer than most US airports and US Worldclubs!
An advantage of NW moving to AF Skyteam gates/check-in is the greater flexibility. I joined a long line at NW/DL Elite check-in at CDG 2E, and quickly AF agents decended on the area opening desks and moving the line quickly. For it's 1 flight a day in Paris, NW could never afford to staff that many people.
Reserve: glad you are enjoying your passes. Hopefully soon you'll be in-flight and able to share with pax heading to Paris or other cities about great little places to see, tips, etc. I've always thought NW FA's are more "adventurous" and have more insights on destinations than other airline FA's.
