I am able to book

BOS-SFO-PDX-SFO-PVG-SFO-PDX-SFO-BOS

for $750 at ual.com involving an overnight stay at PDX. Pretty good fare.

But, I'll have to go through SFO 4 times.

I am also wary about sitting long hours in Y for my first UA trip.

I dono if I could skip the PDX-SFO parts (4 times!!!) I guess not.
