Maybe SOP now, but like NWA Oldtimer, we've flown into Terminal 1 at CDG three times in the past six years from DTW and our time from landing to driving away in the rental car was about the same as his. Very quick passage through customs... and ditto on the return. Not that I love driving anything larger than a mini-car out of or into the rental car area at CDG... but I'd sure hope that the new system improves before our next visit.
