The man with the standard headphones had the rumbling noise of GE90 (I think) and cabin whooshing sound to cover up the classical music. Your headphones cancelled the first two out!
I'm surprised how many owners of NC equipment still believe it cancels all forms of noise.
Nah - mine are the Shure 'Ear Plug' style - they block out everything (except classical Music). All you really do hear is low bass that you generally feel rather than hear - I recommend them.
