There are other places in Asia just as cheap to stay, but cheaper to get to on OneWorld airlines.

This includes other parts of Malaysia, Thailand and (to some extent) Singapore.

You'll find that Sheraton have some of their best (and cheapest...at least to our standards) hotels in Asia. So do Hilton, and other chains.

Maybe you need to think about if there are other places in Asia you'd rather visit if you are purely doing it for a milage run type situation. Otherwise, you'd probably be best flying Malaysian (probs through BKK) or Singapore (through SIN).

Either way, from a pure SC for $ comparison, Asia is not that good. You can pay anything up to $16/sc to fly to asia on even the cheapest fares...
