Well when i went to Malaysia in 2003 on a tour of china (Malaysia was stopover) we flew a MH 744 MEL-KUL then a MH 734 KUL-PEN. I dont know how much it cost but i gather that would have been the cheapest way then. I stayed at the Bayview Beach resort, it was a typical resort, but we actually saw it get wiped out by the boxing day tsunami on TV!
