I just meant it looked complicated if you didn't spend the extra $10 ....
re the tehderloin - like all big cities, we have a really bad area known as the thederloin. however what;s ofdd about it is that the REALLY bad area is very concentrated and the ok areas are close by...I actually work in the "upper tenderloin" and while there are a lot of poor people it's very safe. within 2 blocks tho, I won;t even go wait for a bus.
the cheapie indian places are concentrated around geary st - shalimar, chutney's - and to go for dinner should be no big deal. take the precautions oyud take in any big city and you'll be fine. ..except we have more obnoxious homeless people and obvious drug addicts....
