I've been the recipient of such an offer - to move to middle row exit. The FA thought I looked cramped (the 2Tall part is truth in advertising).

I didn't take it, but I certainly did appreciate the move by the FA.

That being said, I truly appreciate having 21D on an MD with no one next to me....
