If not, I was wondering about Row 1 in J class - is this ok (centre block), or would you recommend another row?

Secondly, for me, I have been allocated row 23, which is just behind the exit, but looks like there is a bulkhead in front of the seat. Does this mean it is standard leg-room? I have requested an exit, (row 45 I believe).

You happened to have used an incorrect aircraft abbreviation. The Airbus A330-300 is commonly shown as the A333 or 333. The A330-200 QF also uses is the A332 or 332. There are several versions of the A330. Hope that helps.
