Actually, most current notebooks are going to have to run Vista in reduced mode. Vista requires a DX9 capable graphics card to run the Aero interface. Those with integrated graphics will likely not be able to see the new interface.

That said, I'm not putting off buying until Vista. I've already got most of its features.
