I recently stayed 10 days at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental in SF (2 separate stays). I originally booked my stays directly with the Mark Hopkins Hopkins IC, using my company's corporate rate. I provided my PC number and was assured that the points would automatically post.
After a month, my points never posted, so I e-mailed the Priority Club customer service to inquire why they did not post. The Customer Service Agent told me that they would post in a few more days time.
But the points still did not post.
I e-mailed them again. I was now told that I could not earn points with the corporate rate, as it was more than 30% less than the standard rate. The agent referred me to the Terms and Contions on the website at

Of course, how could I miss Section 11 and 12 in this fun to read document... Section 11 still says "A Stay is qualified when paying Qualifying Room Rates, which include most business and leisure rates". I still think that I am within the terms and conditions, although you really need to be a lawyer to understand this document.
In closing, I feel taken by the ICH group. I was told by the reservations desk, the front desk staff, and at least one customer service agent that I could and would earn points when I gave them my Priority Club number. Then I am told by another agent to read the legalese Terms and Conditions.
Be aware if you choose to stay at ICH hotels with a corporate rate! I stay in hotel rooms about 25 days per month, and have easily and without problem earned points and status with both SPG and Hyatt. On the other hand, ICH's policies are quite antagonistic towards the business traveller.
