Ms astralclouds and I have the following:

around 200k BA miles
both silver status
around 3500 AirMiles
1x2-4-1 Amex voucher

We wanna spend 3-4 weeks in Japan next autumn and I'm trying to calculate the options.

So far I've considered an ex-EU return in Club all on BA metal, using miles for an upgrade to First. What about using CX via HKG (4 sectors instead of 2)?

So what opinions are out there as to how to best use the combination of cash/miles/vouchers to gain the optimum in comfort/tier points/goodies?
