Recently ( few days ago ), I became an Executive Platinum of AA. And it shows everytime I logged on AA.COM. I will be having a flight this sunday ( October 30, 2005 ) MNL-LAX on Business Class. When I called CX and gave my AA number , they said I am still sapphire. I have to call AA to update them. When I called AA office here in Manila, she said she doesnt know how to change my status with CX. She told me I can just print a copy stating that I am an Executive Platinum and show it to them. I wanna make sure that CX has to put Emerald as my status, coz the flight HKG- LAX Business class is oversold. So that I can wait in First class lounge in Hongkong and a top Priority when it comes to upgrading. So whats the best way how to deal with it?

I think you need to ask CX to take you membership number off, then type it in again in order to update your status.
Few years ago, I was Green tier of CX when I book the flight, then later I turned to Silver tier. But when I check in, they said I am still Green. She asked the manager, and the manager told her to remove my memebrship number, then type it back again. The computer then showed Silver then.
I guess it is the similar case as yours, although it is different FFP program.
