Count back 90 days from your departure date on the calendar and mark it. Then mark 90 out in front of your return. There is no need to call; you can do the seat selection online by just pulling up your itinerary. The ability to select seats will magically appear 90 days out.
If you happen to be flying via AMS, you'll have to call for the KL legs. They don't seem to be available online.
