We stayed at the Taj Malabar in Cochin as part of a package so I do not know what their rates are per night. The location, hotel service and standard and especially the food were all excellent. In addition to Indian cuisine they also have a Thai/Oriental restaurant which is great.

There are two Taj hotels in Cochin I think, I am talking about the Taj Malabar.
